Gingrich at the 'Values [sic] Voter Summit':

The good people at Citizen Action/IL had their Annual Dinner at the Chicago Hilton yesterday. Congressman Phil Hare received the Lerner-Egan Award.

Public Notice, the rightwing ponzi group reported by TBM back in March (see orginal TPM post) is running its 20-30 second piece of mis-information over and over again on the CBS radio affiliate in Chicago, WBBM.

I don't know if they're running it on any other station in the Chicagoland area but it's sure driving me nuts.

I don't understand all the chest-thumping by the GOPers concerning the Iraqi surge. They're acting like this was some brilliant victory -- and maybe it would have been if we hadn't been told almost four years earlier that the mission was already accomplished or that even earlier, that this whole thing would be a cakewalk. So sure the Iraqi surge was a brilliant victory -- but only if we ignore all the events leading up to it.

What with all this talk of 'sensitivity', you'd think Beck and his crew would be sensitive to the legacy of MLK and maybe have their rally somewhere else.
