U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., Nikki Haley sounded off in probably the most pathetic and juvenile way that I've ever heard:

“We will remember it when we are called upon to once again make the world’s largest contribution to the United Nations, and so many countries come calling on us, as they so often do, to pay even more and to use our influence for their benefit,” she said.

They're trying to raise the minimum wage in New York. Of course 'Americans for Prosperity', funded by billionaire David Koch, is against this because 'any minimum wage increase would increase unemployment, especially amongst the young'.

The Limits of Term-Limits

Term limits are such a bad idea. They undermine and weaken government by enforcing a constant turnover of public officials, leaving as permanent fixtures only the lobbyists and special interests.

But don't believe me. Prof. Eric Lane who led a task force that restructured NYC government in 1990 had this to say on WNYC last night ('hour two'):
