If you think, like I do, that Florida will play an important role in who wins the presidential election in November, then wouldn't it make sense for Romney to nominate Florida's own, Marco Rubio?
I always thought one of the big mistakes of Al Gore in 2000 was to pick Lieberman (Conn.) over then Senator Bob Graham of Florida. With Graham on the ticket, Gore might have won a few more votes in Florida, making his victory all the more indisputable.
Ditto with Rubio for Romney.
UPDATE: L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa begs to differ. Meanwhile, Greg Sargent sees the all important 'waitress moms' vote as going to Obama because "Romney won't look out for them".
