Apparently according to Credit Counselor Stephanie Bittner on the Newshour this evening, all we're doing -- due to hard times -- is staying home and looking at the walls:
"Basically, a lot of people are staying home more often. You know, they're cutting back eating out, cutting back on the entertainment, cutting back using their car, which is all saving them money all to kind of pay for the utility bills, pay for the mortgage payment, pay for the car payments. So they're making changes in order to get by every month."
