Daley on Blago: Illinois has "moved on"?

Talk about sweeping things under the carpet:

Mayor Richard Daley today said Illinois already has “moved on” from the corruption scandal involving former Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who was indicted Thursday along with five others, including his brother.

“It’s very sad and it’s very unfortunate for him and all those that are involved. Like anything else, this state has moved on. Pat Quinn is the governor, and you just move on with it,” the mayor said at an unrelated news conference.

I think this is a little premature seeing as though no reform legislation -- absolutely nothing -- has passed since this scandal first saw the light of day that would actually prevent it from ever happening again.
