Health Care Plan must have Public Option

It's great to see Gov. Dean gearing up to make sure we get a 'Public Option' in the much anticipated Obama Health Care plan.

Anything less and what we'll be dealing with isn't a health care plan but yet another expensive taxpayer-funded bail-out -- this time of the insurance companies and big pharma.

It's obvious that the problem isn't that we can't afford health-care in this country. We're already paying more than any other country on the face of the planet. The problem is that we can't afford the insurance and drug companies that have set themselves up as the tollway or gate keepers to health care.
