Things I heard on the Radio this Morning...

npr_logo.pngFirst, the Award for Most Depressing Story of the Week has to go to NPR's David Greene for a piece called "Mailman Finds Delivery Route Altered By Recession". In it, he tags along with a mailman in Florida, looking at the plight of people who've lost their jobs, lost their houses, and some who've pretty much lost everything else -- again, from the unique perspective of a mailman who's been going door-to-door for 30 years.

Second, Is it me or did it seem like Barack has a much sharper populist edge this week in his Weekly Address.

I mean, it was funny listening to the usually idiotic and anodyne announcer on WBBM Chicago have to mouth his words about "special corporate interests", etc.

It was quite refreshing.
