Obama would have to be out of his mind to do anything like this. He has absolutely no formal power at the moment. The only office he had, i.e. the Senate one, he resigned from last month.
This could easily blow up in his face and then we'd be reading headlines (probably from the same reporter) that went: 'Celebrity Obama Ditches Constitution and Anoints Himself President in Unprecedented Power Grab'.
