It occurs to me that when McCain and other Republicans complain about "trial lawyers", they don't mean all trial lawyers. They don't mean the trial lawyers working for Corporate America -- the kind who go under the name of "Corporate Counsel" and do things like issue 'Cease and Desist Letters'.
No, they mean the ones that might theoretically represent you or me -- not the ones that might represent their own friends.
ABC let voters down with last night's abysmal debate. Bad debates aren't just painful to watch—they actually hurt the country. Tell the media "enough distractions - ask about issues that affect people's lives".
Wow, Barack Obama states something that's plain as day to anyone sufficiently interested in small town America and immediately, he's attacked as being "elitist" by millionaires John McCain AND Hillary Clinton.
What in the world is recall going to do when you can still contribute $100k to someone's campaign and then turn around and do business with that person once they're elected?
Recall is nothing but democracy by temper-tantrum. It'll undermine orderly government no matter who is in control.
"This agreement will advance America's national security interests in a critical region. It will strengthen a courageous ally in our hemisphere. It will help America's economy and America's workers at a vital time. It deserves bipartisan support from the United States Congress."
